A 35-year veteran of the software and services industry, Jim came to Orasi from Starbase where he served as Vice President of the Caliber division. Prior to Starbase, Azar was a co-founder of Technology Builders, Inc. (TBI), where he was credited with building the original CaliberRM requirements management tool and led the engineering and product development teams to the ultimate delivery of that commercial software application. Before joining TBI, Jim worked for Computer Associates (CA).
Jim earned a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Alabama, College of Engineering, where he is a member of the Deans’ Leadership Board. He furthered his education with advanced and continuing studies at Stanford University, Carnegie Mellon and Auburn University at Montgomery.
Jim has been published in both IEEE and ACM. He is a University of Alabama, College of Engineering, Computer Science Distinguished Fellow. He lives in Marietta, Georgia with his wife and has three children.
